Tori's ambulance ride

Well Tori nearly scared me to death Sunday night... she has had recurrant bouts with stomach pain and diarhhea since 2010... we have taken her to the pediatrician on MANY occasions and always virus... she has been hospitalized several times after literally sleeping on the toilet all night and vomiting in a bucket simultaniously... This happens almost weekly or every two weeks.
Well this week she said her belly hurt again...had diarhea several times... didnt eat well at all...the same thing that has been happening over and over...
By Sunday evening she was laying on my bed and wouldn't move...if I tried to wake her or touch her belly she screamed it hurt... So I called the answering service and had the pediatrician paged...The poor baby could not sit up at all if her stomach was touched she got very nauseous and had pain... Doc thought appendicitis take her to ER... So we tried to get pjs on her and get her into the car...but we couldnt move her an inch... So, we ended up calling an ambulance... Steve went downstairs to letthem in and Tori decided she had to go to the bathroom NOW... She was yelling in pain but wanted me to get her to the toilet...so I scooped her up and half way there realized that her 60 pund self was alot heavier than my 5 pound post surgical weight lifting limit... But a Moms gotta do what a Moms gotta do.
They had a really hard time starting an iv in the ambulance finally they got it in and took her to the hospital... tests were inconclusive, could be appendix they are just not sure...could be food allergy, maybe even celiac disease...
They gave her a sedative and muscle relaxant to try and help the spasms... Finally we left there at 3AM...she was so out we had to dress her asleep and carry her to the car...
We followed up with her pediatrician and she had a 1:45 appt where he checked her out and set up appt with Childrens for gastrointestinal specialist ,on March 13th...as well as ran more bloodwork...
Praying for Good results so this baby can get some relief.

  2. There aren't many worse things than your kids in pain, and there isn't anything you can do about it. Hope she feels better, and that the root cause is discovered and cured.

Thinking about you all... Remember, if you need anything, we're here.

  5. Oh my goodness! I had similar issues when I was a kid... turned out to be mecklesdiverticulum. (Not sure of that spelling, lol)

I also had bleeding when I had bowel movements. Had to have exploratory surgery at age 7 to find out what it was. Hope they figure this out for Tori!

    Keep us posted!
